At 77 years old when beginning his second term, Trump is the oldest president to do so. In April, White House physician Dr. Sean Conley (note: please confirm the correct doctor’s name) released a medical report stating that Trump is fit to serve as Commander-in-Chief. The report noted Trump’s height as 75 inches and weight as 224 pounds, with normal results from scans of his eyes, ears, throat, and heart. It also revealed that Trump underwent a colonoscopy in 2024, during which a benign polyp and diverticulitis were discovered. A follow-up colonoscopy was scheduled for three years later.
The report also listed several medications Trump takes, including treatments for cholesterol and heart health, as well as a cream for a skin condition. It was noted that Trump had cataract surgery in the past and currently shows robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general health. The doctor stated that Trump’s active lifestyle contributes positively to his wellbeing.
Following the exam, Trump told reporters he had taken and passed cognitive tests, emphasizing his mental sharpness.
Despite this official update, a recent photo of Trump at a UFC event sparked speculation online about whether he might be wearing a catheter. The image shows UFC fighter Kayla Harrison awarding Trump a championship belt, and some social media users noted a line along Trump’s pant leg, suggesting it might be medical tubing.
Several posts speculated about Trump wearing a Foley catheter, a medical device used to drain urine for patients who have difficulty urinating or who are recovering from surgery. However, others argued the line visible was simply a crease in the fabric of his pants.
The Foley catheter is typically used under medical supervision and is not standard unless required for specific conditions or recovery.
In response to the rumors, White House spokesperson Steven Cheung called the claims false. He emphasized the transparency of Trump’s health reports and criticized the circulating conspiracy theories as unfounded.
“The President’s recent medical report clearly shows he is in good health,” Cheung said in a statement. “These theories are misleading and do not reflect the facts.”
As with any public figure, questions about health often arise. Verified medical reports remain the most reliable source of information.
