Elon Musk breaks silence after Trump Epstein claim – expresses regret

Elon Musk Walks Back Comments About Former President Donald Trump After Public Fallout

Elon Musk has dialed back recent remarks he made regarding former President Donald Trump, marking a dramatic shift in a relationship that once appeared surprisingly close.

Their alliance became a point of fascination following Trump’s return to the White House after last year’s election. The tech billionaire was often seen at official events, and his input was reportedly influential through his involvement with the Department of Government Efficiency.

Public appearances and mutual praise fueled widespread speculation about the depth of their political collaboration. Trump frequently spoke highly of Musk, even offering public support for Tesla during a difficult stretch for the company. The two figures, both known for their unconventional styles and massive public platforms, seemed to form a working partnership that intrigued—and sometimes concerned—the public.

But by late May, that relationship appeared to take a sharp turn.

Shortly after stepping away from his advisory role, Musk took to social media with strongly worded criticism of one of Trump’s recent policy proposals. He expressed frustration with what he called a reversal of progress, suggesting that efforts made under the Department of Government Efficiency could be undermined.

The comments sparked immediate reaction, especially when Musk hinted at broader issues without providing supporting evidence. The posts stirred intense discussion online, but Musk soon removed the most controversial messages.

On June 11, Musk issued a public statement on X (formerly Twitter), expressing regret for his earlier posts.

“I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far,” he wrote.

In response, Trump indicated that any working relationship between the two has likely come to an end.

“I would assume so, yeah,” Trump told reporters. “I’m too busy doing other things. I gave him a lot of breaks in my first administration. I have no intention of speaking to him.”

The fallout between two of the most influential figures in technology and politics has left many wondering what might come next—and whether there is any possibility for reconciliation down the line.
